About Eurofarma
Eurofarma is a 100% Brazilian owned multinational company and, since 1972, has been recognized by the medical community and society for promoting broad access to health and quality of life through affordable health care, quality and innovation.
For more than 50 years, the Eurofarma Group has operated in the health sector by producing and commercializing products and services to improve people’s quality of life. In Brazil alone, it offers more than 700 products, covering 42 medical specialties and more than 141 therapeutic classes. In addition to that, the corporation holds a 9.6% share of all medical prescriptions in the country.
The Eurofarma Group is present in 22 countries, covering 100% of the Latin American market. In 2022, it reported net sales amounting to R$ 8 billion, and today it employs more than 11 thousand collaborators. It closed the year 2022 with two important acquisitions: Laboratório Canonne, responsible for the Valda brand; and Medimetriks Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which marked its entry in the
North American market.
The project challenge
Eurofarma needed a demand planning system that offered the flexibility and speed to conduct the forecasting process in a collaboratively way between the different departments of the company.
Pyplan S&OP's Demand Planning application emerged as the solution that could address Eurofarma's challenges.
With over 400 SKUs to manage, Eurofarma required a tool that could handle large volumes of data while maintaining accuracy forecasting. The company wanted a platform that would not only generate forecasts but also facilitate seamless collaboration among all departments involved in the planning process.
The Solution Design
With Pyplan's Demand Planning tool, Eurofarma was able to:
